9F on Aisgill

The oil painting of the 9F locomotive was to commemorate fifty years since the last steam hauled service train ran on British Rail. The painting was put together from my own memories of these locomotives, along with a series of photographs of Aisgill as it is now. I was assisted in putting the realism into the scene by a family member who was a real steam enthusiast and assisted with the fine detail which enabled me to bring this scene to life.
