Beech Hill, Windermere

This painting was commissioned by a client who had been married at the Beech Hill Hotel, It was a gift for his Wife. Its shows the view from the Hotel grounds towards Lake Windermere. The hotel has its own landing stage, and the mountains in the distance are the Coniston Fells. When I was asked to do the painting, I asked the Hotel if they minded if I came up to do some preliminary drawings and photos. They agreed, and were very kind and obliging, giving me the freedom of the hotel grounds. It is a beautiful viewpoint in an equally beautiful area.
