Cretan Mountain Village

This oil paining shows a typically Cretan village in the beautiful White Mountains. The best time to visit is springtime when all the flowers are in full bloom. The colours are amazing, and although the island is one of the furthest points south in Europe, it has wet winters which sustain it through the hot, dry summer months.
